EA-18G Growler Jets Involved in Collision
According to local media reports, the aircraft involved were two US Navy EA-18G Growler fighter jets. The military aircraft reportedly collided in mid-air before crashing nearly two miles outside Mountain Home Air Force Base.
Videos circulating on social media captured the dramatic moment when the two jets appeared to strike each other in the sky before breaking apart. Moments later, four parachutes were seen descending toward the ground, indicating that the crew members had successfully ejected before impact.
All Four Crew Members Survive
Officials later confirmed that all four crew members aboard the two aircraft safely escaped the collision.
According to reports from the Idaho Statesman newspaper, an announcer at the air show informed the audience that the pilots and crew had managed to eject safely before the crash. The US Navy subsequently confirmed that all personnel survived the incident.
