Global Participation Highlights Yoga’s Growing Influence

The Indian High Commission in London organized a special yoga session at Holland Park in partnership with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The event brought together yoga practitioners, wellness advocates, and community members in one of London’s most scenic green spaces.

According to the High Commission, the celebration emphasized yoga’s enduring contribution to physical health, mental well-being, and balanced living. Participants performed various yoga postures and breathing exercises while embracing the theme of healthy ageing.

Zimbabwe Celebrates Yoga at Victoria Falls

In Zimbabwe, the Indian Embassy marked the occasion at the iconic Victoria Falls. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents and members of the Indian community.

The embassy highlighted the growing popularity of yoga in the region, noting that each year more people join the celebrations, reflecting yoga’s expanding global appeal and its role in fostering well-being and community spirit.

Abu Dhabi Hosts Grand Gathering at Louvre Abu Dhabi

The United Arab Emirates celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 beneath the iconic dome of Louvre Abu Dhabi. Around 1,000 yoga enthusiasts, including members of the diplomatic corps, attended the event.

Participants engaged in guided yoga sessions and meditation practices, reinforcing the message of healthy ageing and holistic wellness. The event showcased yoga’s ability to connect people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Kazakhstan Records Strong Participation

The Embassy of India in Kazakhstan, along with the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), Astana City Akimat, and Yoga Family Astana, organized a large-scale celebration at Astana Arena.

More than 2,000 yoga enthusiasts participated in the event. Officials noted that the overwhelming turnout reflects the increasing popularity of yoga in Kazakhstan and highlights strengthening cultural and people-to-people ties between India and Kazakhstan.
