Severe weather conditions battered parts of Tripura on Tuesday morning, as heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and a tornado-like storm struck the West Tripura district. The sudden weather event led to widespread damage, including uprooted trees, blocked roads, and injuries to several people.

Auto Hit by Falling Tree During Storm
In one of the most alarming incidents reported during the storm, a moving auto-rickshaw carrying passengers was struck by a large tree that collapsed onto the vehicle. The accident occurred amid strong winds and intense rainfall, leaving all occupants—including the driver—injured.
Local residents and passersby quickly rushed to the scene to assist the victims and pull them out from the damaged vehicle. The injured individuals were later shifted to nearby healthcare facilities for treatment. Authorities have confirmed that while multiple people sustained injuries, no fatalities have been reported so far.
