The makers of the much-awaited sports action drama ‘Peddi’ unveiled the film’s powerful trailer on Monday, giving fans a glimpse of Ram Charan in a fierce and emotionally charged role. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and is set for a grand theatrical release on June 4.

The nearly three-minute trailer was launched in Mumbai and has already created massive buzz among movie lovers for its intense action, emotional storytelling and strong rural backdrop.

Ram Charan Dominates the Screen as ‘Peddi’

The trailer introduces Ram Charan as ‘Peddi’, a fearless village hero admired by youngsters for his unmatched skills in multiple sports, including cricket, wrestling and running.

In one of the standout moments, Bollywood veteran Boman Irani asks village youngsters about their favourite sports player. Regardless of the sport, the crowd responds with only one name — “Peddi.”



The trailer portrays Peddi not merely as an athlete but as a symbol of hope and resistance for the villagers. Ram Charan appears in multiple avatars throughout the trailer — from a lean cricketer to a heavily built wrestler — showcasing his intense physical transformation for the role.

One of his powerful dialogues in the trailer states, “The game itself is in my arrogance,” highlighting the character’s confidence and fearless nature.

Janhvi Kapoor Plays Achiyyamma

Janhvi Kapoor is introduced as Achiyyamma, a cheerful yet strong-willed woman who plays an important role in Peddi’s life. Ram Charan’s character lovingly describes her as “a star that fell from the sky.”

The chemistry between the lead pair, combined with emotional scenes and village-based storytelling, adds depth to the action-packed narrative.
