Tripura Signs Dairy MoU with NDDB:
In a significant step towards strengthening the cooperative movement and boosting rural livelihoods, the Government of Tripura signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gomati Cooperative Milk Union and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) at the Civil Secretariat on Monday.

The agreement was signed under the vision of “Sahkar se Samriddhi” (Prosperity through Cooperation), a national initiative championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and actively spearheaded by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. The initiative aims to transform cooperatives into self-reliant, transparent, and economically vibrant institutions.

High-Level Presence at Signing Ceremony
The MoU signing ceremony was held in the esteemed presence of Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Animal Resource Development (ARD) Minister Sudhangshu Das, and Cooperation Minister Sukla Charan Noatia.
Senior officials from the state government, cooperative sector representatives, and NDDB officials also attended the event, highlighting the importance of the partnership for Tripura’s agricultural and rural economy.
Boost to Dairy Sector and Farmer Welfare
The strategic collaboration is expected to bring substantial improvements to Tripura’s dairy sector by enhancing milk production, strengthening cooperative institutions, and improving market access for dairy farmers.
Under the agreement, NDDB will provide technical expertise, institutional support, and guidance to modernize dairy operations across the state. The partnership will also focus on expanding milk collection networks, improving processing infrastructure, and increasing productivity through scientific dairy management practices.
The initiative aims to empower local dairy farmers by ensuring better remuneration, access to modern technologies, and stronger cooperative frameworks.

Creating Rural Livelihood Opportunities
