Google AI Plus Free for Indian Students for 1 Year:
Google has announced a one-year free subscription to its AI Plus plan for eligible college students in India, giving them access to enhanced artificial intelligence tools, higher usage limits and learning-focused features at no cost for 12 months.
The initiative is aimed at helping students use AI for studying, research, academic projects and personalised learning. Eligible students in India can redeem the offer until December 31, 2026, subject to verification and applicable terms.

Students Get Gemini, 400GB Storage and More
Under the offer, eligible students will receive access to Gemini Omni, along with twice the usage limits available to users without an AI subscription.
The student package also includes 400GB of storage and other AI-powered features for one year.
Google is additionally offering students a discounted bundle combining Google AI Pro and YouTube Premium, with savings of up to 70 per cent for those interested in ad-free music and video streaming.
New AI Tools Designed for Learning
Alongside the student subscription, Google is introducing new and enhanced learning tools across Gemini and Google Search.
Students will have access to a dedicated student hub designed to help them organise their studies and discover Gemini’s learning capabilities.
Google is also introducing a new study notebook feature that can provide personalised learning assistance. The tool uses diagnostic quizzes to identify a student’s strengths and knowledge gaps before generating bite-sized study plans based on individual learning goals.
Gemini Live Expands Voice-Based Learning
Google is also expanding Gemini Live, allowing students to discuss and interact with Deep Research reports through voice-based conversations.
The feature is designed to make research and learning more convenient, particularly for students who want to discuss information while travelling or away from their desks.

Google Search Gets More Interactive Study Features
The company is also adding new educational capabilities to Google Search.
Students will be able to generate interactive visualisations to better understand complex subjects, take practice quizzes across different areas—including standardised tests—and learn concepts step-by-step using Google Lens.
Students can also use notebooks to organise academic projects and create custom files to streamline their study materials.
Offer Available Until December 31, 2026
Google said its education-focused tools across Search, Gemini and YouTube have been developed with safety considerations and learning science in mind.
The company said the aim is to support personalised learning while ensuring that teachers remain central to the educational process.
The AI Plus student offer is available across more than 140 markets where Google AI Plus is offered, subject to certain exclusions.
In India, eligible college students can claim the one-year free subscription until December 31, 2026, subject to student verification and the applicable terms and conditions.
The move comes as technology companies increasingly compete to provide students with AI-powered tools for research, education and productivity, potentially giving Indian college students broader access to advanced AI capabilities at no subscription cost for a year.
