Sepahijala, June 5, 2026: To mark the observance of World Environment Day 2026, a plantation drive was organized at PM SHRI School, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Sepahijala, under the nationwide initiatives Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) and ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 3.0’ on June 5, 2026.

As part of the programme, a total of 100 saplings of various species were planted within the school campus by students, teachers, staff members, and invited guests. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness, encourage sustainable living practices, and contribute to increasing green cover in the region.
Addressing the participants, school authorities highlighted the importance of tree plantation in combating climate change, preserving biodiversity, and ensuring a healthier environment for future generations. Students actively participated in the drive and pledged to nurture the planted saplings and adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
The plantation programme reflected the spirit of World Environment Day and reinforced the message of environmental conservation through collective action. The event concluded with a renewed commitment from all participants to protect and preserve nature for a sustainable future.
