BYC Slams Pakistan:
Human rights activist and Baloch Yakjehti Committee–BYC Slams Pakistan. Sabiha Baloch has raised serious concerns over Pakistan’s ongoing military operations in Balochistan’s Zehri region, where airstrikes by Pakistani forces have reportedly killed several civilians, including women and children.

Speaking in a video message shared on BYC’s social media platform, Sabiha revealed that the region has been under curfew for over 25 days, leaving residents trapped without access to food, healthcare, or communication.

“People Are Dying of Hunger and Illness”
Sabiha Baloch stated that the humanitarian situation in Zehri has deteriorated sharply, with many people dying from hunger and preventable diseases due to the blockade.
“The people of Zehri are suffering under siege. Women, children, and the elderly have been left without basic necessities. People are losing their lives not only due to airstrikes but also from hunger and illness,” she said.
She added that five people were recently killed by state-backed death squads in the Makran region, as Pakistan intensified its policy of enforced disappearances and targeted killings across Balochistan.
“These actions are part of a broader attempt to suppress the Baloch nation and silence those who speak out,” Sabiha alleged.
BYC Slams Pakistan, Condemns Crackdown on Political Activists
The BYC has accused Pakistani authorities of conducting a systematic crackdown on political and human rights activists in Balochistan.
Earlier this week, the organization criticized the government’s move to place hundreds of Baloch activists on the Fourth Schedule of Pakistan’s Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) — a list used to monitor and restrict individuals accused of involvement in terrorism-related activities.
In a statement, the BYC said, “This action is not only illegal but also reflects a dangerous trend, through which an effort is being made to suppress peaceful political activities, silence legitimate differences of opinion, and criminalise those who raise their voices for human rights, justice, and political freedoms.”
The rights group added that the names of hundreds of Baloch political and human rights workers — including BYC members — had been added to the Fourth Schedule “without any transparent proceedings, legal evidence, or fair judicial process.”

A Call to End the “Ongoing Genocide”
Sabiha Baloch urged the people of Pakistan and the international community to raise their voices against the ongoing atrocities in Balochistan, warning that continued silence would embolden further abuses.
“The world must take notice of this ongoing genocide,” she said. “Remaining silent only allows it to grow.”
Her statement adds to a growing chorus of domestic and international human rights organizations calling for accountability and transparency in Pakistan’s counter-insurgency operations in the restive province.
Background
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee is a prominent Baloch rights organization advocating for justice, transparency, and human rights protections in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.
