The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced a transformative roadmap titled ‘Aadhaar Vision 2032’, aimed at reinforcing India’s digital identity ecosystem with next-generation technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Quantum Computing, and Advanced Encryption.

The initiative reflects UIDAI’s strategic and technological overhaul to keep pace with the rapidly evolving digital and regulatory landscape, ensuring Aadhaar remains secure, scalable, and inclusive.
According to the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), the ‘Aadhaar Vision 2032’ framework will guide the next phase of Aadhaar’s evolution, aligning with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and global privacy standards.
“UIDAI’s technology stack, which forms the backbone of India’s digital economy, is set for a major upgrade,” the ministry said.
The new framework will ensure Aadhaar’s continued relevance as India’s trusted digital identity platform, supporting billions of authentication transactions and enabling new-age digital services.
High-Level Expert Committee to Steer Transformation
To drive this futuristic initiative, UIDAI has constituted a High-Level Expert Committee chaired by Neelkanth Mishra, Chairperson, UIDAI.
