After nearly six months of uncertainty, Tripura University has officially released the final merit list for the recruitment of various non-teaching staff posts, bringing long-awaited relief to hundreds of aspirants.
The recruitment process began with written examinations held on February 15 and 16, 2025, followed by skill tests conducted on February 22, 23, and 27, 2025. However, the final results were only published on August 6, 2025, under Notification No. F.TU/REG/MISC/01/2023.
Posts and Selected Candidates
The merit list covers four key posts: Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Library Attendant, Laboratory Attendant, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). Selections were made strictly based on performance in written and skill tests, along with adherence to reservation norms for UR, SC, ST, and EWS categories.

1. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
Total Selected: 21 candidates
Top UR Candidates: Manish Kumar Mishra, Tanima Bhowmik, Banita Mitra, Prasenjit Ghosh
Note: Some candidates’ results remain on hold.
2. Library Attendant
Total Selected: 1 candidate
Selected (UR): Riya Sutradhar
3. Laboratory Attendant
UR Category: No suitable candidate found
Selected Candidates: Sujit Sarkar (SC), David Debbarma (ST), Prashanta Chakma (EWS)
4. Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)
Total Selected: 15 candidates
Top UR Candidates: Pradip Kumar Roy, Sudhra Shankar Bhattacharjee, Soma Saha
ST Category: Six candidates including Twishri Debbarma and Puja Smriti Debbarma
While the announcement brought joy to those who secured positions, the absence of suitable candidates in certain categories means fresh recruitment drives may be needed. The Recruitment Cell has already issued offer letters to the selected candidates.
The notification was issued with the approval of the Competent Authority and has been uploaded on the official Tripura University website for public access.
