SRK Announces ‘King’ Release Date:
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has officially announced the much-awaited release date of his upcoming film ‘King’ unveiling a striking announcement video that has instantly set social media abuzz.
Taking to his social media handles on Friday, the actor confirmed that King will “roar” into cinemas on December 24, 2026, making it a grand Christmas release.

The announcement video opens with bold visuals carrying the word “ROAR”, set against a dark and dramatic backdrop. Another frame flashes the powerful line, “This Christmas, fear wears the crown,” hinting at the film’s intense tone and larger-than-life narrative.
Shah Rukh Khan is seen in a fierce avatar, exuding dominance in a rugged look, wearing a torn white shirt with blood splashed across his face, signalling a gritty and violent character far removed from his romantic hero image.

Title Reveal Had Set the Tone Earlier
The makers had earlier unveiled the title video of King on Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday in November last year, offering fans their first glimpse into the film’s world.

The teaser opened with a bird’s-eye view of an island facility, followed by high-octane action sequences. SRK’s intense voice-over hinted at a dark and ruthless mercenary character who has lost count of the people he has killed.
“100 deshon mein badnaam, duniya ne diya sirf ek hi naam — KING,” Shah Rukh Khan was heard saying, setting the tone for what appears to be a raw, action-heavy drama.
