PM Modi on Delhi Blast:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday vowed stern action against those behind the deadly car explosion in Delhi Blast that claimed eight lives near the Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening. Speaking during his public address at Changlimethang Ground in Thimphu, Bhutan, PM Modi said the “conspirators will not be spared,” assuring that investigative agencies are working tirelessly to uncover the plot.

Expressing deep grief over the tragedy, PM Modi said,
“Today, I come here with a very heavy heart. The horrific incident that took place in Delhi yesterday evening has deeply saddened everyone. I understand the grief of the affected families. The entire nation stands with them.”
He added that he had been in constant touch with investigation agencies through the night, emphasizing that “Our agencies will get to the bottom of this conspiracy. The conspirators behind this will not be spared. All those responsible will be brought to justice.”
The Delhi Police, NIA, and other security agencies have launched a coordinated investigation. Following the Delhi blast, high alerts have been issued across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Mumbai, with intensified security around public places, metros, and religious sites.
PM Modi in Bhutan: Strengthening Bilateral Ties
PM Modi arrived in Thimphu earlier in the day for a two-day visit aimed at reinforcing the India-Bhutan partnership under the Neighbourhood First Policy. He was warmly received by Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay.
In a social media post, PM Modi wrote:
> “Landed in Bhutan. Grateful to Prime Minister Tobgay for the warm and gracious welcome. This visit reflects the deep bonds of friendship and cooperation shared between our two nations.”
Tobgay reciprocated, referring to Modi as his “elder brother” and welcoming him on behalf of the Bhutanese people.

Shared Spiritual Heritage and Energy Cooperation
PM Modi’s visit also coincides with the exposition of the Sacred Piprahwa Relics of Lord Buddha from India. The Prime Minister will offer prayers at Tashichhodzong and attend the Global Peace Prayer Festival, symbolising India and Bhutan’s civilisational and spiritual ties.
The visit will further see the inauguration of the Punatsangchhu-II hydropower project, marking another milestone in India-Bhutan energy cooperation and regional development.
Honouring Bhutan’s Fourth King
PM Modi is also set to join celebrations marking the 70th birth anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth King of Bhutan, reiterating India’s respect for Bhutan’s royal family and people.
