Tripura Urban Livelihood Mission Launches Capacity Building Training for CRPs at Agartala

The Tripura Urban Livelihood Mission (TULM), under the Urban Development Department, has initiated a two-days Capacity Building Training Programme for Community Resource Persons (CRPs) at Hotel Noah Spire, Milanchakra, Agartala. The training, scheduled from September 11 to 14, 2025, will be conducted in three batches.

The program was inaugurated by Sri Subrata Majumder, Additional State Mission Director, TULM, with an emphasis on empowering CRPs with vital skills and knowledge to strengthen community-level institutions.

Focus Areas of CRP Capacity Building Training Programme

The sessions will primarily focus on:

  • Management of Self Help Groups (SHGs), Area Level Federations (ALFs), and City Level Federations (CLFs)
  • Maintenance of Books and Records
  • Guidelines and implementation of TULM schemes

These modules are designed to improve grassroots-level community management and ensure better livelihood opportunities for urban households.

Trainers and Resource Persons

The training will be imparted by a team of experienced trainers and officials, including:

  • Smt. Reshmi Baidya, Faculty, RUDSETI, Agartala
  • Sri Bidyut Baidya, City Mission Manager, Belonia MC
  • Sri Sudip Ghosh, CMM, Agartala MC
  • Sri Anirban Das, BMC, Belbari, TRLM
  • Sri Deepraj Deb, PM, TRLM

Officials from the State Mission Management Unit (SMMU) and Agartala City Mission Management Unit (CMMU) have also been instructed to remain present to ensure smooth coordination of the programme.


Vision for Community Empowerment

Speaking at the event, officials highlighted that the training will help strengthen the role of CRPs in community mobilisation, livelihood planning, and urban poverty alleviation. By equipping CRPs with enhanced skills, the TULM aims to ensure that Self Help Groups and Federations can function more effectively in managing funds, maintaining records, and accessing government schemes.

This initiative is part of the larger mission to build sustainable livelihoods, empower women-led SHGs, and promote community-driven development across urban Tripura.
