India delivered a commanding performance at the BOXAM Elite International 2026 in La Nucia, Alicante (Spain), with 12 Indian boxers advancing to the finals on the penultimate day of competition. The tournament, featuring over 200 boxers from 20 nations, will see India compete for multiple gold medals on Saturday.

India is the most represented nation in the finals with 12 boxers — ahead of Kazakhstan (11), Ukraine (5), and hosts Spain (4).

Lovlina, Sachin Headline India’s Charge

Leading the men’s campaign is Sachin (60kg), who continued his impressive run with a dominant victory over England’s Jack Dryden to secure his place in the gold-medal bout.

In the women’s division, Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain (75kg) showcased her class with a unanimous decision win against Wales’ Rosie Eccles, booking her spot in the final in commanding fashion.

All-Indian Final Guarantees Gold

India is assured of at least one gold medal, with Preeti and Poonam set to face each other in the Elite Women’s 54kg final. The all-Indian clash underlines the country’s growing depth in women’s boxing.

The women’s contingent continued their strong run with semifinal victories from:

• Manju Rani (48kg)
• Nitu (51kg)
• Priya (60kg)
• Arundhati Choudhary (70kg)
• Naina (80kg)

Their performances reinforced India’s dominance across multiple weight categories.

Men’s Team Adds Firepower

India’s men also delivered standout performances to swell the finalist tally.

Deepak (70kg) produced one of the most remarkable moments of the session, forcing a first-round RSC against Kazakhstan’s World Boxing Cup Finals silver medallist Nurbek Mursal.

Akash (75kg) and Ankush (80kg) battled past tough Kazakh opponents to secure their places in the finals.
