SAI Launches Creative CWG 2030 Initiatives:
In the lead-up to the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2030, scheduled to be hosted in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the Sports Authority of India (SAI), in collaboration with MyBharat, has launched three nationwide engagement initiatives aimed at promoting sportsmanship, creativity, and youth participation across the country.

The initiatives include the ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Torch Design Contest’, the ‘CWG Reel Challenge’, and the ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Quiz’. According to a Sports Ministry release, all three initiatives are free of cost and are designed to build excitement around the vision of ‘#CWG2030InBharat’.

Initiatives Aim to Boost Youth Participation
The campaigns are open to all MyBharat users and seek to encourage greater public participation in India’s sporting movement. Officials said the initiatives will help foster creativity, national pride, and collective enthusiasm for the successful hosting of the Commonwealth Games 2030.
The programmes also aim to strengthen awareness about India’s sporting achievements while engaging young citizens through digital and creative platforms.
Torch Design Contest Celebrates Indian Heritage
The ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Torch Design Contest’ invites citizens to create torch concepts inspired by India’s culture, heritage, innovation, sustainability, and sporting excellence.
Participants can submit their entries in either digital or hand-drawn format along with an optional concept note of up to 200 words. The online contest will run from May 11 to May 20, and only one entry is allowed per participant.
Selected winners will receive Fit India hampers and recognition certificates, while eligible participants will also receive digital participation certificates.
CWG Reel Challenge Encourages Creative Videos
The ‘CWG Reel Challenge’ encourages participants to create original short reels highlighting India’s growing sports culture, local sports infrastructure, fitness awareness, and enthusiasm for hosting the CWG 2030.
Participants are also encouraged to include messages supporting India’s preparedness for CWG 2030 and wishing success to the Indian contingent for CWG 2026.
The reel duration must not exceed 60 seconds. The challenge is being conducted from May 7 to May 16, with one entry permitted per participant. The top five creators will receive Fit India hampers from SAI.

Commonwealth Games Quiz to Test Sports Knowledge
The ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Quiz’ has been launched to celebrate India’s sporting legacy and spread awareness about the country’s journey in the Commonwealth Games.
The quiz contains 10 multiple-choice questions to be completed within five minutes. Participants must score at least eight marks to qualify, and only one attempt is permitted per participant.
The quiz is open from May 9 to September 26, and the top five winners will be announced every week. Participation certificates will also be provided to eligible participants.
Building Excitement for CWG 2030
Sports officials believe these initiatives will play an important role in building nationwide excitement and public engagement ahead of the Commonwealth Games 2030 in Ahmedabad.
By combining sports, creativity, digital participation, and youth outreach, SAI and MyBharat aim to strengthen India’s sporting ecosystem while inspiring citizens to actively participate in the country’s journey towards hosting the prestigious international event.
