Inspired by Real Events

According to the filmmakers, Dhurandhar: The Revenge draws inspiration from real-life geopolitical tensions and covert operations carried out by India’s intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW).
The narrative is also influenced by historical security events, including the 2008 Mumbai attacks and counter-operations targeting organised crime networks and militant groups.
These real-world references are expected to add authenticity and intensity to the story, blending espionage drama with action-packed sequences.

Global Release During Festive Season

The film is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the festive celebrations of Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and just ahead of Eid al‑Fitr.
With its star-studded cast, large-scale action sequences and revenge-driven storyline, the sequel is expected to draw significant attention from moviegoers.
Industry observers believe the film could emerge as one of the biggest action releases of 2026, especially given the popularity of the original installment and Ranveer Singh’s high-energy screen presence.
