A drawing competition was organised on Sunday under the initiative of the West Tripura District DM’s Office Recreation Club at the District Collector’s Office complex in Agartala. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from children across different age groups.

The competition was divided into four categories.
- Group A included children aged 3 to below 6 years, while
- Group B consisted of participants aged 6 to below 9 years.
Children in both groups were allowed to draw pictures of their own choice. - Group C, comprising children aged 9 to below 12 years, drew pictures on the theme ‘Clean and Green City’.
- Group D, for children aged 12 to below 15 years, focused on the themes ‘Disaster Management’ and ‘Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child’, highlighting important social and civic issues.
Approximately 400 children participated in the competition, showcasing creativity and awareness through their artwork.

District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, along with other district office officials, employees, and parents of the participating children, were present on the occasion and encouraged the young artists.
The event aimed to nurture creativity among children while spreading awareness on social responsibility and environmental conservation.
