The Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) has announced a major recruitment drive for 1,033 Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) under the Directorate of Secondary Education, Government of Tripura. Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals with permanent residence in Tripura.
The recruitment is for Classes XI–XII in government schools and will play a vital role in strengthening Tripura’s higher secondary education system.

- Total Vacancies: 1033 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) posts
- Application Dates: April 29, 2025 (4:00 PM) to September 15, 2025 (11:59 PM)
- Subjects Covered: English, Bengali, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Education, and more (subject-wise details in official notification)
- Educational Qualification: Postgraduate degree in relevant/allied subject with at least 45%–50% marks plus B.Ed. (as per NCTE norms). Relaxation in marks for SC/ST/PH candidates.
- Age Limit: Maximum 40 years as on 01.03.2025 (Relaxation available for SC/ST/PH/Govt employees/Ex-servicemen as per norms).
- Pay Scale: Fixed pay ₹26,025 per month (75% of Level-10 Pay Matrix, Tripura, 2018).
- Application Mode: Online via www.trb.tripura.gov.in
- Selection Process: Written test (STPGT 2025) + Certificate Verification.
Candidates must possess a Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC) to apply. Final selection will be based on merit in the Selection Test for Post Graduate Teachers (STPGT) 2025.
