Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated two major National Highway projects worth nearly ₹11,000 crore on 17th August 2025 at 12:30 PM in Rohini, Delhi. The PM also address the gathering during the event.

The projects include the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway and the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II). Both have been developed under the Government’s long-term plan to decongest Delhi, improve connectivity, cut travel time, and ease traffic across NCR.
Dwarka Expressway – Delhi Section
The 10.1 km Delhi section of Dwarka Expressway, built at a cost of ₹5,360 crore, will offer multi-modal connectivity to Yashobhoomi, DMRC’s Blue and Orange metro lines, the upcoming Bijwasan Railway Station, and the Dwarka Bus Depot.
Package I: 5.9 km stretch from Shiv Murti intersection to Dwarka Sector-21 Road Under Bridge (RUB).
Package II: 4.2 km stretch from Dwarka Sector-21 RUB to Delhi–Haryana border, linking directly to UER-II.
Earlier, in March 2024, PM Modi inaugurated the 19 km Haryana section of the expressway.
Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II)
The Alipur to Dichaon Kalan stretch of UER-II will also be inaugurated, along with new links to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat, at a cost of ₹5,580 crore.

The project will:
1.Ease traffic on Delhi’s Inner and Outer Ring Roads.
2.Decongest busy points like Mukarba Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, and NH-09.
3.Provide direct access to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat.
4.Boost industrial and goods movement connectivity across NCR.
These projects showcase the Prime Minister’s vision of world-class infrastructure, enhancing ease of living and seamless mobility for Delhi and its surrounding regions.
