Batting first after losing the toss, the Caribbean side posted their highest total of the series — 294/6 — despite a shaky start. The innings was anchored by Shai Hope, who delivered an unbeaten 120 off 124 balls, his 18th ODI hundred. This milestone took him past Desmond Haynes’ 17 centuries, making him third on the West Indies all-time list, behind Chris Gayle (25) and Brian Lara (19).

Hope forged vital partnerships — 64 runs with Roston Chase (36) and a blistering unbeaten 110-run stand in just 49 balls with Justin Greaves (43)*, which propelled the hosts to a staggering 119 runs in the final 10 overs. For Pakistan, Naseem Shah and Abrar Ahmed claimed two wickets each.

In reply, Pakistan collapsed to 92 all out in 29.2 overs. Jayden Seales tore through the top order with a devastating spell of 6/18, the best-ever bowling figures by a West Indian against Pakistan and the third-best for West Indies in ODIs. Pakistan’s top order crumbled to 23/4, and only Salman Ali Agha (30) showed brief resistance before the final collapse, as the last five wickets fell for just 31 runs.

The historic win brought back memories of West Indies’ last ODI series triumph over Pakistan — a 2-0 victory in 1991 under Richie Richardson’s captaincy.

With this landmark result, West Indies not only reclaimed pride but also signaled a resurgence in their ODI form ahead of upcoming tournaments.
