India Recover from Early Collapse to Post 252
After being sent in to bat by Pakistan, India were rocked early and slipped to 47/3, but a calm and mature knock from Vedant Trivedi steadied the innings.
Trivedi anchored the batting with a composed 68 off 98 balls, showcasing patience and shot selection on a challenging surface. Valuable lower-order contributions from Kanishk Chouhan (35), RS Ambrish (29) and Khilan Patel (21) helped India reach a competitive 252 all out in 49.5 overs.
Pakistan bowlers Abdul Subhan (3/33) and Mohammad Sayyam struck at crucial moments, but lapses in fielding proved costly as India added 39 runs in the final four overs, swinging momentum decisively.
Pakistan’s Chase Falters After Promising Start
Chasing 252, Pakistan needed to reach the target in 33.3 overs to keep their net run-rate advantage alive, but their innings lacked urgency from the outset.
India struck early as Henil Patel removed Sameer Minhas, but a steady partnership between Usman Khan (66) and Farhan Yousaf revived hopes. At 151/3 in the 30th over, Pakistan appeared well placed.
However, the dismissal of Yousaf triggered a dramatic collapse. On a deteriorating pitch, Pakistan lost eight wickets for just 43 runs, surrendering control completely.

Spinners Seal the Game for India
India’s disciplined bowling attack proved decisive. Skipper Ayush Mhatre led from the front with 3/21, while Khilan Patel chipped in with 3/35 as India’s spinners tightened the noose.
Pakistan were eventually bowled out for 194 in 46.2 overs, sealing a comprehensive victory for India.
What’s Next for India?
With this win, India topped their Super Sixes group and will now face Afghanistan in the semi-final on February 4 in Harare, while Pakistan bowed out of the tournament.
