Focus on Unity, Digital Transition and Press Freedom

The formation of the new executive committee comes at a crucial time for the media fraternity in Tripura. Journalists across print, electronic, websites, and digital media platforms are navigating rapid changes in the media landscape.

With the growing influence of digital platforms and evolving challenges related to press freedom, ethical reporting, and professional welfare, the newly elected leadership is expected to prioritize strengthening unity among journalists.

The association is also likely to focus on addressing professional concerns, safeguarding journalists’ rights, and promoting responsible journalism across the state.

As Tripura’s media ecosystem continues to evolve, the 2026–28 TWJA leadership will play a significant role in shaping policies and advocacy efforts aimed at protecting journalistic standards and supporting media professionals.
