The Tripura Biodiversity Board has appointed Everain Global Services to prepare a State Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (SBSAP) for Tripura up to 2030, aligning with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.

A joint workshop was held on August 25, 2025, at the Conference Hall of the DFO Office, Unakoti, Kumarghat, organized by Everain Global Services in association with the District Forest Office of Unakoti and North Tripura.

🔹 Leadership & Key Participants

The workshop was chaired by:

  • Shri Santosh Dhar, Sah-Sabhadipati, Unakoti
  • Shri Biswajit Das, Chairman, Municipal Council, Unakoti (Guest of Honor)

  • Institutions: Panchayats, District-level Biodiversity Management Committees (BMCs)
  • Academicians & Experts contributing their insights

🔹 Goal of the SBSAP

The Tripura Biodiversity Action Plan 2030 aims to:

  • Protect and restore the state’s ecological balance.
  • Align local conservation efforts with global biodiversity targets.
  • Integrate biodiversity concerns into agriculture, fisheries, tourism, and rural development.
  • Strengthen community participation in biodiversity conservation.

Speaking at the event, stakeholders emphasized the importance of collaborative policy-making, community involvement, and sustainable use of natural resources to secure Tripura’s ecological future.
