He emphasized that this model, first conceptualized by officers of the Biotechnology Department, has gained recognition across India for its innovative balance between development and ecological responsibility.

2.Organic fertilizers & battery-operated spray machines

3.Biomass coke stoves & biogas units

4.Mushroom cultivation kits & beekeeping materials

5.Livestock including ducks, chickens, goats, piglets, and fish fry

6.Animal and fish feed for sustainable farming

This approach ensures that each household benefits economically while contributing to environmental conservation.

Role of Ashraya Foundation and Foreign Organizations

At the event, Foundation Director Nalini Kumar, CSR Incharge Zenil Dharani, and Joint Director of Biotechnology Department Anjan Sengupta—the project’s initiator—highlighted the importance of external investments in strengthening sustainable rural models.

Minister Debbarma noted that while foreign organizations are investing, the responsibility of execution remains fully with the state Biotechnology Department, ensuring accountability and effective management.
