The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has invited online applications from eligible Indian citizens for 16 posts of Food Safety Officer (FSO), Group-B Gazetted, under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Tripura.
Applications can be submitted through the official TPSC portal (tpsc.tripura.gov.in) from August 7, 2025 to September 2, 2025 (5:30 PM).
📌 Food Safety Officer Vacancy Details (Category-Wise)
- Unreserved (UR): 9 posts (including women’s quota)
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 3 posts
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 4 posts

🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (Essential):
- Bachelor’s / Master’s / Doctorate degree in:
- Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Oil Technology, Agriculture Science, Veterinary Sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Medicine
- Equivalent/related disciplines as notified by Government of India are also acceptable.
- Knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok (Desirable).
Other Conditions:
- Must have Permanent Resident Certificate (PRTC) of Tripura.
- Applicants must not have any financial interest in the manufacture, import, or sale of food.
Age Limit:
- 18–40 years as on 02-09-2025.
- Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PH/Government employees.

💰 Pay Scale
- Pay Matrix Level-13 under Tripura State Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2017 (with amendments).
📝 Selection Process
- Written Examination (85 marks, MCQ type, 2 hours)
- Interview / Personality Test (15 marks)
- Candidates shortlisted for Interview will be in the ratio of 1:5 for one post, 1:8 for two posts, and 1:3 times the number of vacancies for three or more posts.
- Final merit list = Written Exam + Interview Marks.
