TIT Agartala Hosts Awareness Drive on Cleanliness & Drug-Free India:
A comprehensive public relations and awareness program was held at the Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT), Narsinghgarh, on Tuesday to promote national campaigns such as Swachhtayi Seva, Neshamukt Bharat Abhiyan, women and child empowerment, and to commemorate 150 years of the composition of the national anthem “Vande Mataram.”
The event was organised by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Field Office Agartala, under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.

Importance of Awareness: Students Engage in Discussions & Quiz Competitions
Students of TIT actively participated in a series of discussions, interactive sessions, exchange of views and a theme-based quiz competition aimed at deepening their understanding of key social issues.
Manoj Kumar Saha, Joint Director, Information & Culture Department (ICD), Government of Tripura, attended as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he stressed the importance of preparing the younger generation with innovative and progressive thinking to achieve the vision of a Developed India.
Experts Highlight Drug Abuse Dangers & National Heritage
A.K. Achintam Kilikdar, Deputy Commissioner, Social Welfare & Social Education Department, joined as an expert speaker and briefed students on the long-term social and health risks associated with drug addiction.
Debashis Lodh, Deputy Director, ICD, spoke about the deep connection between science and literature while highlighting the cultural significance of the “Vande Mataram” anthem and Anandamath, the novel from which it originated.
Their insights shed light not only on present-day challenges but also on India’s cultural roots and collective responsibilities.

Quiz Competition Marks Conclusion of the Event
To wrap up the program, a topic-based quiz competition was conducted by H. K. Chang, Field Publicity Assistant, CBC. Winners of various competitions were presented with awards by the guests, marking a successful and well-organised awareness event.
This initiative is expected to strengthen public awareness, encourage youth participation, and promote holistic development in Tripura.
