According to an official notice signed by TIPRA Motha Party founder Pradyot Bikram Manikya, all affiliated party members and organizations are instructed to actively participate in the program.
In a significant move, each Block Committee of TIPRA Motha is also directed to organize a Homchang (Mashal/Torch) Rally at 6:00 PM on the same day (9th August) in their respective blocks. This symbolic torch rally is intended to amplify the demand for prompt Village Council elections across the tribal council regions.
These rallies aim to:
-Demand timely VC elections in tribal areas
-Highlight the delayed democratic rights of indigenous communities
-Spread awareness at a local, national, and international level
The call is not just to protest but to reclaim identity, demand justice, and celebrate culture. Indigenous leaders are urging youth, elders, and community members to participate responsibly and peacefully, upholding the spirit of unity and constitutional democracy.
