Chadha’s Strong Reaction

Taking to social media platform X, Chadha expressed his disappointment, saying, “Silenced, not defeated. My message to the ‘aam aadmi’: Khamosh Karwaya Gaya Hun, Hara Nahi Hun.”

In a video message, he questioned the decision and asked whether raising public issues in Parliament had become a crime. He emphasized that he has consistently used his platform to highlight concerns affecting ordinary citizens.

Raises Questions Over Speaking Rights

Chadha alleged that the party had communicated with the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to restrict his participation in parliamentary debates.

“Whenever I get a chance to speak in Parliament, I raise issues related to the people. Is speaking on public issues a crime?” he asked, expressing concern over being denied opportunities to address the House.

He further questioned why he was being stopped from raising topics such as rising food prices, toll charges, food adulteration, and issues affecting delivery workers and the middle class.

AAP Leadership Decision

The recently named Ashok Mittal, a Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, as the new Deputy Leader in the Upper House. The decision was communicated to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat by the party leadership.

Currently, serves as the party’s leader in the Rajya Sabha and chairs its parliamentary group.

The reshuffle is seen as part of a broader strategy, with Punjab being the only state where the party is in power, and representation from the state playing a key role in leadership positions.
