In a significant political development, 610 voters from various parties formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at a joining program in Killa under Bagma Mandal today.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Manik Saha emphasized that people across the state have realized that the true development of both the state and the nation is possible only under the BJP’s leadership.
Contrast with Previous Rule
He recalled that the 35-year rule of the CPIM–Congress alliance was marked by “killings, terror, and a politics of violence.” In contrast, Dr. Saha said, the BJP has ensured transparency, peace, and people-centric governance.
Focus on Janajati Empowerment
Dr. Saha highlighted the transformation in the treatment of the Janajati community, which was earlier seen merely as a vote bank. “Today, the BJP is committed to their empowerment and holistic development. I am happy to see our Janajati brothers and sisters reposing their faith in the BJP for inclusive growth, peace, and prosperity,” he said.
Strengthening the BJP Family
Welcoming the new members into the BJP family, Dr. Saha said the decision of voters to switch from other parties reflects growing public trust in the party’s vision for development and good governance.
The event concluded with enthusiastic participation, reaffirming the BJP’s expanding base in Killa and across Tripura.
