The trailer release coincided with Rani Mukerji completing 30 years in Hindi cinema, adding emotional weight to the return of one of her most iconic characters.

A Haunting Opening and a Dark Social Reality
Running over three minutes, the trailer opens on a haunting and disturbing note with a stark message flashing across the screen:
“In a country that worships goddesses… thousands of daughters go missing every week.”
The narrative quickly plunges into darkness as Shivani Shivaji Roy joins the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and is immediately assigned a spine-chilling case involving missing girls—leaving her no time to process the enormity of the crime.
93 Girls Missing and a Ruthless Antagonist
As the investigation unfolds, Shivani uncovers a horrifying truth: 93 girls have vanished without a trace. Fuelled by rage and moral resolve, she launches a relentless pursuit against a brutal beggar mafia, headed by a chilling antagonist named Amma, portrayed by acclaimed actor Mallika Prasad.
The trailer showcases intense action sequences, emotional confrontations, and Shivani’s unwavering determination as she stops at nothing to reclaim the lives that were stolen and bring the perpetrators to justice.
New Faces and Strong Creative Team
Actor Janaki Bodiwala, known for her performance in Shaitaan, joins the Mardaani franchise in a pivotal role, adding a fresh dynamic to the narrative.
Mardaani 3 has been written by Aayush Gupta, acclaimed for The Railway Men, and is directed by Abhiraj Minawala. The film is produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
