Hollywood mourns the loss of actress Kelley Mack, best known for her role as Addy in AMC’s The Walking Dead, who passed away on August 2, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio, after battling glioma, a rare cancer of the central nervous system. She was 33 years old.

A CaringBridge page had chronicled Mack’s health updates over recent months. Her family confirmed the heartbreaking news, saying her “vibrant spirit, creative passion, and dedication to storytelling left an indelible mark” on all who knew her.

A remembrance service will be held on August 16 in Ohio, with a celebration of life scheduled later in Los Angeles, where Mack had lived and worked for over a decade.

A Versatile Talent in Film, TV, and Voice Work
Born Kelley Lynne Klebenow, Mack made her mark in Season 9 of The Walking Dead, appearing in five episodes as Addy. She also had roles in shows like Unusual Suspects, Chicago Med (2022), 9-1-1 (2019), and Not Your Average Joe.

Beyond television, she acted in numerous indie films and miniseries, and starred in commercials for major brands like Budweiser, Chick-fil-A, Dr Pepper, and Dairy Queen.

Mack also lent her voice to several major projects, including a voice match for Hailee Steinfeld in the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and a Hyundai Ioniq commercial in 2024.

Her Final Work: Universal (2025)

Kelley Mack’s last screen credit is as both actress and executive producer for the upcoming indie film Universal, which had its world premiere at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood just weeks before her passing.

Describing the sci-fi romantic dramedy on social media, Mack called it “a small, down-to-earth film about huge, out-of-this-world concepts.” The plot follows two academics whose remote getaway is disrupted by a life-altering discovery.

A Life Beyond the Screen

Outside of acting, Kelley was an accomplished college tennis player and enjoyed hiking, piano, pickleball, biking, and traveling. Her legacy continues through her close-knit family and partner.

She is survived by her parents, brother Parker, sister Kathryn, grandparents, and boyfriend Logan.
