In an official message, the Ambassador emphasized that the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai are operating round-the-clock helplines and email services to assist Indian nationals during what he described as “unprecedented times.”

24/7 Helplines Active for Indian Nationals

Ambassador Sudhir confirmed that embassy officials are working closely with UAE authorities, community groups, and airlines to address concerns arising from regional instability and airspace restrictions.

He urged Indians in the UAE to immediately contact official embassy channels if they require assistance and reassured them that the mission remains fully engaged.
“We are with you. Jai Hind,” the Ambassador concluded.

India-UAE Leadership in Direct Communication

The situation has prompted high-level diplomatic engagement between the two nations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally spoke with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss developments.

Additionally, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has been in contact with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
India expressed gratitude for the swift and effective measures taken by the UAE leadership to ensure the safety of residents, including the large Indian diaspora — one of the biggest expatriate communities in the country.

Flight Disruptions and Airspace Restrictions

The ongoing crisis has led to overflight restrictions across parts of the region, resulting in travel disruptions. The Indian Embassy confirmed it is coordinating with airlines and local authorities to facilitate smoother travel and minimize inconvenience.
Indian nationals have been advised to remain in contact with their respective airlines for real-time updates regarding flight schedules and airspace operations.

CBSE Exams Postponed in UAE

In a significant update for students, the Ambassador confirmed that the CBSE examination scheduled for October 22 in the UAE has been postponed. The board is working on a revised timetable, which will be communicated soon.
Parents and students have been advised to rely only on official announcements for accurate information.

Advisory Against Rumours and Misinformation

Stressing the importance of responsible communication, Ambassador Sudhir cautioned against spreading unverified information on social media.
He urged the Indian community to depend solely on official embassy channels, UAE government advisories, and recognised media outlets for updates.
The Embassy reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of all Indian nationals in the UAE during this period of uncertainty.
