This recruitment drive offers apprenticeships across various trades in multiple departments of Southern Railway, providing valuable hands-on training to both freshers and ITI-qualified candidates.
✅ Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
Fresher Category:
- Fitter, Painter, Welder – 10th pass (minimum 50% marks).
- Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology, Pathology, Cardiology) – 12th pass (50% marks) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Ex-ITI Category:
- Trades: Fitter, Machinist, MMV, Turner, Diesel Mechanic, Carpenter, Painter, Welder, Wireman, Advanced Welder, Plumber, Draughtsman (Civil), Mechanic R&AC.
- Eligibility: 10th pass (50% marks) + ITI certificate in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT.
Special Trades:
- Electrician: 10th pass (50% marks) with Science + ITI in relevant trade.
- Electronics Mechanic: 10th pass (50% marks) with Science & Maths + ITI.
- Secretariat Assistant & Stenographer (English): 12th pass + ITI.
- ICT System Maintenance & COPA/PASSA: 10th pass + ITI + NCVT certificate.
📌 Apprenticeship Duration
- Fresher (10th):
- Welder – 1 year 3 months
- Fitter, Painter – 2 years
- Fresher (12th):
- Medical Lab Technician (Cardiology, Radiology, Pathology) – 1 year 3 months
- Ex-ITI: Duration as per Apprentices Rules, 1992.

💰 Stipend Details
- 10th Pass (Freshers): ₹6,000/month
- 12th Pass (Freshers): ₹7,000/month
- Ex-ITI Candidates: ₹7,000/month
