These amenity-rich houses constructed under PMAY will ensure a smooth and secure life for the beneficiaries,” the Home Minister said.

From Slums to Safe Homes

Beneficiary Shambhu Bhai shared that he earlier lived in unsafe and unhygienic conditions but now enjoys a secure and well-equipped home.

Nanaji Desai, another beneficiary, said that after nearly 25 years of struggle, his family finally has a permanent home.
The quality of construction is very good. This is a dream come true for us,” he said.

PMAY’s Growing Impact in Gujarat

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana aims to provide pucca houses with essential amenities to eligible families across India. In Gujarat, thousands of EWS families have benefitted from the scheme over the years, significantly improving living standards and social security.

The newly inaugurated housing complex includes access to safe drinking water, electricity, sanitation, schools, healthcare facilities and community infrastructure, making it a complete residential ecosystem.

The event once again underlined the government’s focus on inclusive urban development and social upliftment through large-scale housing projects.
