Gujarat Releases Rs 1349 Cr to MSMEs via E-Payment:

The Gujarat government on Thursday disbursed ₹1,349.50 crore to 11,029 beneficiaries across various industrial sectors through a single digital transaction, marking a major step toward improving transparency and efficiency in financial assistance delivery. The initiative was carried out under the “Single Click Payment Programme” at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) held in Surat.

Digital Push for Faster Disbursal

The funds were transferred directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts via e-payment, eliminating delays and manual processing. The programme reflects Gujarat’s growing emphasis on adopting technology-driven governance to streamline administrative processes and ensure timely support to industries.

The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister , who highlighted the importance of simplifying procedures for faster financial assistance.

Sector-Wise Fund Allocation

According to official data, ₹299.75 crore was disbursed to 7,495 beneficiaries under various MSME schemes. The textile sector received ₹538.76 crore, benefiting 3,423 beneficiaries. Additionally, ₹510.99 crore was allocated to 111 beneficiaries in the large industries category.

This structured allocation underscores the government’s balanced approach toward supporting both small enterprises and large-scale industries.

Strengthening MSMEs and Industrial Growth

Officials stated that the initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen the MSME ecosystem, promote industrial expansion, and generate employment opportunities. By ensuring quicker access to funds, the government aims to enhance productivity and encourage investment across sectors.

Harsh Sanghavi noted that the reforms are being implemented under the guidance of Chief Minister , with a focus on improving efficiency and transparency in public service delivery.

Focus on Investment & Global Engagement

The disbursal comes ahead of the VGRC-South Gujarat event scheduled for May 1 and 2 at AURO University in Surat. The conference will focus on industrial growth, infrastructure development, and investment opportunities in the state.

Alongside the conference, a Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition will be held from May 1 to 5, featuring vendor development programmes and an international reverse buyer-seller meet. These initiatives aim to connect local businesses with global markets and attract foreign investment.

Driving Future Growth

The Gujarat government emphasised that multiple incentive schemes are being implemented to support industrial development across sectors. The adoption of digital disbursal mechanisms is expected to further strengthen ease of doing business in the state.

By combining financial support with technology-driven governance, Gujarat continues to position itself as a leading industrial hub, fostering sustainable growth and economic development.
