England Post Competitive Total After Batting First

After losing the toss, England were asked to bat first and put up a competitive 173/5 in 20 overs. Captain Callum Flynn provided early momentum with a brisk 26 off 16 balls, setting the tone for the innings.

The backbone of England’s total was Liam O’Brien, who played a composed knock of 55 off 41 deliveries, striking four boundaries and three sixes. Wicketkeeper-batter Angus Grant Brown further strengthened the innings with a fluent 53 off 34 balls, ensuring England crossed the 170-run mark.

For India, the bowling unit showed discipline at crucial stages. Akash Singh and Vivek Kumar picked up key wickets, preventing England from accelerating in the death overs and keeping the chase within manageable limits.

India responded with confidence, chasing down the target in 18.5 overs, finishing at 175/3. The run chase was masterfully led by wicketkeeper-batter Yogendra Bhadoria, who delivered a sensational 94 off 59 balls.

Bhadoria’s innings featured six fours and five sixes, blending composure with controlled aggression. He anchored the chase superbly, ensuring India never lost momentum despite the pressure of a sizable target.

He was well supported by Akash Singh, who played a blistering cameo of 36 off just 15 balls, striking at an impressive rate and shifting the pressure back onto the English bowlers.
