Standing at an imposing 6,691 metres (23,000 feet), Mount Aconcagua is the highest peak in South America and a major milestone in the prestigious Seven Summits Challenge—a quest to climb the highest mountain on each continent.

A Journey of Proven Excellence

Aritra Roy has already etched his name in history by successfully scaling Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. Paramita Sarkar, meanwhile, has showcased her endurance and skill by summiting Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa and Mount Elbrus in Europe.

Now, combining their experience and determination, the Tripura duo is ready to face one of the most demanding mountains in the world.

Self-Supported Mission of Grit and Determination

What sets this expedition apart is the team’s decision to undertake the climb as a self-supported duo, without guides or local organizing companies. Relying solely on their own skills, preparation, and mental strength, Aritra and Paramita aim to demonstrate true mountaineering spirit.

The expedition is scheduled to begin on December 24, 2025, with the climbers expected to return to Agartala by January 19, 2026.

A Shared Vision for the Seven Summits

This Aconcagua expedition marks a crucial step in their shared pursuit of the legendary Seven Summits Challenge. Both climbers have committed to continuing future expeditions together until they conquer all seven continental summits.

Their partnership reflects resilience, unity, and a deep commitment to representing Tripura on the global mountaineering stage.

A Collective Dream for Tripura

As they embark on this historic mission, Aritra Roy and Paramita Sarkar have humbly sought the blessings and good wishes of the people of Tripura.
