The Telangana Rising Global Summit was formally inaugurated this afternoon by Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at the Bharat Future City, near Hyderabad. The high-profile event aims to position Telangana as a leading driver of India’s economic transformation, aligned with national development goals for 2047.

Governor Sets Ambitious Economic Target
In his inaugural address, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma laid out an inspiring roadmap for the state, calling for Telangana to evolve into a $3 trillion economy by 2047. He said the “Telangana Rising” vision reflects a forward-looking commitment to rapid, inclusive, and innovation-driven growth.
The Governor highlighted the state’s stable and transparent governance, which he described as a strong foundation for long-term development. He also pointed to ongoing expansions in airports, rail connectivity, highways, and industrial corridors, noting that the government is according priority to every sector to ensure broad-based progress.
> “Telangana stands at the threshold of remarkable transformation. With stable governance and an innovation-led approach, we can achieve historic milestones by 2047,” Governor Dev Varma said.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Links Vision to Foundational Values
Addressing the summit, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said Telangana’s aspirations for the future must be rooted in the same democratic spirit and determination that guided India’s founding fathers. He emphasized the need for equitable development, social empowerment, and innovation-led growth.
The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to creating a robust policy environment to attract global investors to Telangana’s emerging sectors, including technology, green energy, logistics, and next-generation manufacturing.

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy Calls for Nationwide Cooperation
Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy, who attended the summit, emphasized the importance of regional contributions to India’s national ambitions. He urged all states to play a meaningful role in achieving the shared goal of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047.
He noted that Telangana has the potential to become a major contributor to India’s economic rise, given its strong track record in IT, pharmaceuticals, and infrastructure development.
Vision Document to Be Released Tomorrow
The two-day global summit brings together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and academic experts. The highlight will be the release of the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document, scheduled for tomorrow at the conclusion of the event.
This document is expected to outline long-term strategies for economic growth, infrastructure expansion, sustainability, and global partnerships.
The summit reinforces Telangana’s positioning as a state focused on innovation, global collaboration, and visionary governance.
