Agartala, December 6, 2025: To mark Mahaparinirvan Diwas, the death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a large-scale voluntary blood donation camp was organised today by the All India SC/ST Employees Welfare Association (AISCSTEWA), Agartala Branch, in association with ONGC, Tripura Asset.

The event, held at the ONGC Mahila Samiti Hall, saw the presence of several eminent dignitaries, including Smt. Mina Rani Sarkar, MLA of 14-Badharghat Vidhansabha, Tripura, who graced the occasion and encouraged the donors for their noble contribution.
Mr. Sanjeev Janjua, Asset Manager, ONGC Tripura Asset, appreciated the efforts of employees and the association for organizing such a meaningful programme on the occasion of Mahaparinirvan Diwas. He emphasized ONGC’s commitment to social welfare and community service.

From the All India SC/ST Employees Welfare Association (Agartala Region), Sri Smriti Ranjan Debbarma, Chairman, and Mr. Joydeep Das, Secretary, led the initiative and motivated volunteers throughout the event.

With the inspiring message “Donate Blood & Save Life – Be the reason for someone’s heartbeat”, the camp received an overwhelming response. A total of 197 units (packets) of blood were collected, reflecting the strong spirit of solidarity and service among ONGC employees and members of the association.

The organisers expressed heartfelt gratitude to all donors and volunteers, affirming that such humanitarian initiatives will continue in the future to uphold social responsibility and honour the ideals of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
