Jadeja Named Player of the Series
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was named Player of the Series for his consistent performances — taking eight wickets and scoring 104 runs across two Tests.
Speaking after the match, Jadeja expressed satisfaction with his evolving role in the team:
> “I could bowl more overs after Ashwin’s retirement. As Gauti bhai (Gautam Gambhir) said, I’m at number six now, so I’m thinking more like a proper batsman. I just focus on contributing with both bat and ball to help my team win.”
Jadeja’s all-round brilliance continues to highlight his value in India’s red-ball setup, as he now secures his third Man of the Series award in Tests.
Team India’s Road Ahead in WTC
After drawing 2-2 in England earlier in the WTC cycle, the win over West Indies has propelled India to third place on the World Test Championship 2025–27 table. With upcoming home series against New Zealand and South Africa, India will look to sustain their momentum and aim for a place in the WTC final once again.
This record-breaking series not only reaffirms India’s supremacy in Test cricket but also reflects the team’s ability to maintain consistency and composure across formats and generations.
