In a significant move aimed at improving financial support for thousands of workers across the state, the Government of Tripura has announced a revision of wages and remuneration for multiple categories of employees. The revised pay structure will take effect from October 1, 2025, according to a Finance Department memorandum issued on Friday.
The wage hike covers Daily Rated Workers (DRWs), Monthly Rated Workers (MRWs), contingent and casual staff, part-time employees, permanent labourers, public worship workers, village chowkidars, school mothers, adult literacy teachers, community health guides, and home guards.
Key Tripura Wage Revision 2025
The memorandum provides detailed revisions across categories:
Daily Rated Workers (Grade-C): Increased from ₹476 to ₹490 per day
DRW (Technical): ₹487 to ₹502 per day
DRW (Grade-D): ₹444 to ₹457 per day
Monthly Rated Workers (Grade-D): ₹12,924 to ₹13,312 per month
Permanent Labourers: ₹449 to ₹462 per day
Part-Time Workers (per month)
4 hours: ₹10,113 → ₹10,416
3 hours: ₹9,842 → ₹10,137
2 hours: ₹9,593 → ₹9,881
Staff in Public Places of Worship
Head Priest: ₹14,741 → ₹15,183
Adhikari: ₹14,417 → ₹14,850
Priest/Chantai/Pujari etc.: ₹11,929 → ₹12,287
Support Staff (Singer, Sweeper, Gardener, etc.): ₹10,382 → ₹10,693

Additional Enhancement
The order further specifies a 3% enhancement in wages for both full-time and part-time workers engaged without prior concurrence from the Finance Department.
Official Approval
According to the memorandum, the Governor of Tripura has approved the revised wage structure, ensuring better recognition and financial assistance for employees serving in diverse capacities. Many of these workers have long been demanding parity in wages and timely revision to cope with rising costs of living.
