Tripura reaffirmed its position as an emerging organic hub of Northeast India by participating in the 17th edition of BIOFACH INDIA 2025 at India Expo Mart Limited (IEML), Greater Noida.
The Tripura State Organic Farming Development Agency (TSOFDA) showcased the state’s finest organic produce under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Sri Ratan Lal Nath. The delegation was led by Sri Rajib Debbarma, Mission Director of the Tripura Organic Mission, along with members of Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs).
Showcasing Tripura’s Best Organic Produce
Organic stalls representing Twibungma, Jampui, and Dhalai FPCs highlighted Tripura’s wide range of certified organic products, including:
- Aromatic rice
- Scented lemon
- Queen pineapple
- Ginger & turmeric
- Bird’s eye chilli

These products drew strong interest from domestic and international buyers, demonstrating the growing demand for Tripura’s organic offerings.
Global Recognition
Tripura’s efforts in promoting organic farming received praise from international visitors from Thailand, Germany, and Spain, as well as from the Chairman of APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority), who lauded the state’s progress in advancing the organic farming movement.

Participation at BIOFACH INDIA 2025 gave Tripura a valuable platform to:
