Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 184 newly constructed Type-VII multi-storey flats for Members of Parliament (MPs) at Baba Kharak Singh (BKS) Marg, New Delhi on Monday, August 11, 2025. The event will also feature a symbolic plantation of a Sindoor sapling by the Prime Minister and an interaction with shramjeevis (construction workers).
The inauguration ceremony of 184 newly constructed Type-VII multi-storey flats will be attended by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs and Power Manohar Lal, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs & Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju, House Committee Chairperson Dr. Mahesh Sharma, along with several MPs and dignitaries.
Green & Inclusive Design
The new complex is designed with GRIHA 3-star green building standards and National Building Code (NBC) 2016 compliance. It incorporates energy conservation, renewable energy systems, and advanced waste management solutions. The project also adopts monolithic concrete technology with aluminium shuttering, ensuring durability, faster construction, and earthquake-resistant structures.
Facilities for MPs
Each residential unit provides spacious living areas along with dedicated office space, staff quarters, and a community centre. The complex is Divyangjan-friendly, promoting inclusivity in design.
