Agartala: Community Transplant or Social Transplant Program is a program of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department of the state government. Through this program, farmers in the areas under various agricultural subdivisions, other farmers and agricultural officials of the local area voluntarily donate labor and carry out other programs including planting rice seedlings in the land.

Recently, the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department of the state government, Sri Ratan Lal Nath, wearing a gamcha, himself planted rice seedlings in the land of a farmer in the Futamati area of Gomati district. This initiative of the minister received a huge response from the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department of the state government to the general public.
Seeing this program of the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, the community transplant program was organized at the initiative of Belbari Agricultural Subdivision under the West district.

MDC Ganesh Debbarma, Belbari Block Chairman Praken Debbarma, ADC Sub-Zonal Chairman Santanu Debbarma, Belbari Agriculture Sub-Divisional Agricultural Officer Tushar Kanti Das, other employees and local farmers were present in this program.
Starting from the public representatives present, the agricultural officers and local farmers went down to the land and planted rice seedlings. Ganesh Debbarma told the media about the program today, everyone planted rice seedlings to make the common people more aware of the government’s programs.
Belbari Block Chairman Praken Debbarma, ADC Sub-Zonal Chairman Santanu Debbarma also expressed their respective reactions in this regard and said that this program has been organized keeping in mind the convenience of the people.
In this regard, Belbari Agriculture Sub-Divisional Agricultural Officer Tushar Kanti Das told the media that rice seedlings have been planted in the land of Progressive Pharma’s Tapan Debbarma.
Farmer Tapan Debbarma, whose land was planted with paddy on this day, thanked the Agriculture Department. This program is being held in various parts of the state.
