Tripura State Cooperative Bank to Launch Continuous Clearing and Settlement from October 4, 2025

In a major step towards digital banking efficiency, the Tripura State Cooperative Bank Ltd (TSCB) has announced that it will adopt the Continuous Clearing and Settlement Mechanism (CCSM) under the Cheque Truncation System (CTS) starting October 4, 2025, as per the directive of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

Special Clearing on October 3 Before Transition

Ahead of the nationwide roll-out, the RBI has directed all banks, including cooperative banks, to conduct a special clearing session on October 3, 2025.

Session Timings for October 3:

  • Return Session (for cheques presented on Oct 1): 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
  • Special Presentation Session: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Special Return Session: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

After this, regular batch-based clearing will cease, and the Continuous Clearing and Settlement system will be operational from October 4.

According to TSCB officials, the shift to Continuous Clearing and Settlement will bring faster cheque clearance and greater transparency.
