Agartala, July 30, 2025 – Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu visited Bagma in Gomati District yesterday to review the operations of Bagma Agri-producer Company Limited (BAPCL). During the visit, he inspected the company’s Integrated Farm System, where activities like poultry farming, fishery, goat and duck rearing are being undertaken to promote sustainable agriculture.

The Governor also visited various project sites including a milk collection center, oil extraction unit, biofloc fish farming setup, and demonstration stalls showcasing value-added agricultural products. He interacted directly with farmers and company officials, exchanging views on agricultural development and rural livelihood enhancement.

Governor Nallu emphasized that Tripura’s agriculture and allied sectors are key drivers of the state’s economy, but in a rapidly changing environment, it is crucial for farmers to adopt modern and climate-resilient technologies. He praised the Integrated Farming Model of BAPCL as a replicable example of sustainability, self-reliance, and efficiency.
To support the company’s initiatives, the Governor handed over a Rs 1 crore cheque from the Punjab National Bank to BAPCL Managing Director Sudip Majumder.
Following the inspection, a review meeting was held with BAPCL leadership to discuss ongoing operations and future plans. The meeting was attended by local MLA Sri Rampada Jamatia, Gomati District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma, Agriculture Department officials, and senior representatives from Tripura Gramin Bank and Bank of India.
This visit highlights the state government’s commitment to promoting integrated and technology-driven agriculture for long-term rural development in Tripura.
