Mahavatar Narsimha Roars at Box Office: Day 3 Collection Soars to Rs 11.35 Cr

New Delhi, July 29, 2025:
Mahavatar Narsimha, the mythological animated epic co-produced by Hombale Films and Kaleem Productions, has taken the Indian box office by storm. Directed by Ashwin Kumar, the film has become the highest-grossing Indian animated film ever, surpassing Hanuman (2005) with a strong opening weekend collection of ₹11.35 crore in its Hindi version alone.

The movie, which recounts the divine tale of Bhakt Prahlad and Lord Vishnu’s fierce incarnation as Narasimha, witnessed explosive growth in collections. From a modest ₹1.35 crore on Friday, the movie grew by 150% on Saturday to ₹3.25 crore and surged another 110% on Sunday to earn between ₹6.50–₹7.00 crore, totaling an estimated ₹11.35 crore in just three days.

Owing to growing audience demand, the film’s screen count jumped from 800 on Friday to 2,000 by Sunday. Trade analysts attribute the massive success to its strong mythological connect, family-friendly content, and stunning animation, which has struck a chord across both metro cities and mass belts.

With enthusiastic word-of-mouth, industry experts predict that Mahavatar Narsimha might even surpass its Friday earnings on Monday. The film has particularly resonated with children and families, a segment typically drawn to international animated content, but now captivated by a homegrown mythological tale.
