India Crush Australia by 9 Wickets :
Rohit Sharma’s milestone 50th international hundred and Virat Kohli’s return to form powered India to a commanding nine-wicket victory over Australia in the third and final One-Day International at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Despite losing the series 2–1, India ended on a high as the duo’s unbroken partnership of 168 runs sealed a dominant chase of 237 with 69 balls to spare.
Rohit Sharma’s Record-Breaking Knock
Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 121 off 125 balls, marking his 50th international century — a feat achieved by only a handful of players in cricket history. The Indian skipper played with characteristic patience early on before accelerating with his trademark pull shots and lofted drives.
Opening partner and captain Shubman Gill contributed 24 before falling to Josh Hazlewood, who was Australia’s lone wicket-taker with figures of 1–23.
From there, Virat Kohli (74 off 81)* joined Rohit to guide India home effortlessly, showcasing class and timing after two ducks in the previous matches.
Kohli Overtakes Sangakkara in ODI Runs
Kohli’s composed innings saw him surpass Kumar Sangakkara to become the second-highest run-scorer in One-Day Internationals, taking his tally to 14,255 runs. The 36-year-old, however, remains behind Sachin Tendulkar’s record 18,426 runs, a benchmark that continues to define batting greatness.

Rana Shines as Australia Collapse
Earlier, Australia chose to bat after winning the toss but were bundled out for 236 in 46.4 overs. Young Indian seamer Harshit Rana impressed with figures of 4 for 39, dismantling Australia’s middle order with pace and discipline.
Matt Renshaw, making his debut series memorable, top-scored with 56 off 58 balls, while other top-order batters — including Marnus Labuschagne (41) and Steve Smith (33) — got starts but failed to convert them.
Next Up: T20 Series in Canberra
The ODI series ended 2–1 in Australia’s favor, but India’s resounding win will give them confidence ahead of the five-match T20I series, starting Wednesday in Canberra.
With both Rohit and Kohli in fine touch, India’s batting lineup looks well set for the shorter format.
