This integration has further enhanced its utility by allowing interoperability across states, ensuring that certificates and services can be accessed paperlessly and hassle-free.
The system is built with strong safeguards for data security, privacy, and trust, ensuring inclusivity for citizens across urban, semi-urban, and rural areas. By digitizing services and eliminating bureaucratic delays, DigiLocker has transformed how citizens interact with governance.
Boosting Efficiency, Transparency, and Accessibility
The integrated services now available span multiple citizen needs, including:
- Birth, death, and caste certificates
- Pension and welfare schemes
- Ration cards and health cards
- Utility payments (electricity, water, property tax)
