Reaffirming the Tripura Government’s commitment to responsive governance, digital innovation, and social welfare, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Thursday launched the ‘Yoddha’ Portal while conducting the 70th edition of the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme.
The programme was held from the War Room of the Tripura Institution for Transformation (TIFT) in Agartala, with citizens from North Tripura district participating virtually from the conference hall of the Kanchanpur Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s Office.
Government Committed to Inclusive Development
Addressing the participants, Dr. Saha said the state government remains committed to ensuring that welfare and development schemes reach every eligible citizen, particularly those living in remote tribal areas, including members of the Reang community.
He instructed officials to ensure that no deserving beneficiary is deprived of government assistance and emphasised the importance of transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance.
“The Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme has become an effective platform for direct interaction between the government and the people, enabling quick resolution of public grievances,” the Chief Minister said.
Healthcare Infrastructure Being Strengthened
Highlighting the government’s efforts in the healthcare sector, Dr. Saha said medical infrastructure across Tripura is being upgraded to provide advanced treatment facilities within the state.
He informed that referral hospitals across Tripura would gradually introduce digital medical services, improving access to healthcare and reducing the need for patients to travel outside the state for treatment.
‘Yoddha’ Portal to Encourage Citizen Participation
On the occasion, the Chief Minister virtually inaugurated the ‘Yoddha’ Portal, a digital initiative developed by the North Tripura District Administration to encourage active public participation in addressing social issues.
The portal enables citizens to confidentially report incidents related to:
- Child marriage
- Drug abuse
- Domestic violence
- Child labour
- Other social concerns
The platform also allows individuals battling drug addiction to seek confidential counselling and medical assistance. Additionally, citizens interested in community service activities such as voluntary blood donation and other social welfare initiatives can register through the portal.
Dr. Saha described the initiative as an important step towards building a socially responsible, vigilant, and participatory society. He expressed confidence that if the portal proves successful in North Tripura, it could be expanded to all districts of the state.
27 Citizens Present Grievances
During the programme, the Chief Minister interacted directly with 27 citizens from different parts of North Tripura.
The grievances covered a wide range of issues, including:
- Financial assistance for medical treatment
- Divyang pensions
- Widow and old-age pensions
- Housing assistance
- Educational support
- Employment opportunities
- Road connectivity
- Alternative livelihood support
After hearing each case, Dr. Saha directed the District Magistrate of North Tripura, the Health Department, the Social Welfare and Social Education Department, and other concerned authorities to take immediate action and ensure timely delivery of eligible benefits.

The programme was attended by several senior officials, including:

- Kiran Gitte, Health Secretary
- Tapan Kumar Das, Additional Secretary, Social Welfare & Social Education Department
- Dr. Debashree Debbarma, Director of Health Services
- Dr. Shiromani Debbarma, Medical Superintendent, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Hospital
North Tripura District Magistrate Chandani Chandran and other district-level officials participated virtually from Kanchanpur.
The latest edition of Mukhyamantri Samipeshu once again underscored the Tripura Government’s emphasis on direct citizen engagement, prompt grievance redressal, digital governance, and inclusive development, while the launch of the Yoddha Portal marked a significant step towards strengthening community participation in addressing social challenges across the state.
